I recently repainted our foyer and decided that the wall by the stairs going up to the second floor would be a great place for a gallery wall. Once again...Pinterest inspired.
I'm an eye-baller. Some of the pins on Pinterest showed putting brown paper frame templates to tape up first to lay out the wall. Ya...I'm not one of those kind of people.
Despite the fact that I found this to be VERY difficult to photograph, here's my wall:
Ugh!!! Please ignore that spot on the ceiling where I knocked off a hunk of drywall with the ladder while painting. Note to self...dig out patching plaster while Lily sleeps.
I chose to use all black frames. I purchased some of them, but most were frames I already had. If they weren't already black, they were after I got a hold of a can of spray paint! I also chose to use all black and white photos. I love the effect. If the photo I wanted to use was in color, I just copied it on my printer in black and white.
I'll share some of the items (up close and personal) over the next couple of days.
Thanks for stopping by!!

I'm dusting off this old blog
Pinterest has super-inspired me lately. I mean really, really inspired me. I have been trying out lots of new recipes. I have been crafting...oh how I've missed crafting. I've been decorating. I decided to share some of my projects here on this poor little neglected blog that hasn't been touched in two years.
Between Lily's tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy in early December and her recovery and some remodeling of our second floor in late November, I never put up any Christmas decorations in 2011. I was so tired from everything that was going on that it didn't bother me...in the least!! However, now that Valentine's Day is drawing near, I've been inspired to put up a few decorations.
My first project was a very simple wreath, inspired by this blog. I only had one deck of playing cards to use so I added some scrapbooking paper hearts too. Oh...and I have a new-found love of burlap, so I included a burlap bow.
I purchased a few heart ornaments from Michael's and I snagged a few branches from a tree outside to create this Valentine's Day "tree".
I have a couple more Valentine's Day projects in the works. Stay tuned...

Stamp Camp Projects
Last Saturday I went to a stamp camp at my neighbor's house. It's always a lot of fun and I come home with 4 cards that we made. I bought the black card with the hearts...didn't make that one. I thought it was really cute though so I included the picture.
Sorry that this one is sideways...it isn't in my file, but it uploads that way...hmmmmm. This was a super-easy cute card that could be adapted for many different occasions.
This was the most complicated card we made. It has lots of stamping and we also used flocking. Unfortunately, I stuck the card in my plastic bag before it was completely dry and there are some white smudges at the bottom right. I always use these cards for samples anyway.
Super-easy and super-cute...the word "happy" is filled in with colored pencils and then gone over with a watercolor marker. I love the colors!
I thought this card was cute so I bought it. I think that I can cut all the hearts with my Cricut!
Anyone have any St. Patrick's Day or Easter papercrafts they would like to share??? E-mail your pictures to me and I'll post them. Thanks!!!

Valentine's Day Cards
The pictures aren't very great. I promise to figure out a way to take better pictures for next time. I just never got around to it and it's getting close to Valentine's Day.
I can't take any credit for these cards. Yes, I made them, but the designs were chosen by my stampin' friends, Erica and Denise.
The last picture is actually a thank-you card, but I thought it would also make a cute Valentine's card, minus the "thanks".

Valentine's Day
**************************************************
I think we need a theme for posting. Let's start with Valentine's Day. Send me your ideas for V Day projects you've done. Send them to scrapbookercathy@yahoo.com. Come on...you know you want to...do it right now! :O)
I don't have any scrapbook pages, but I have a couple of cards that I've made. I'll add them later today.
By the way...anyone have any suggestions on how to get a good picture of our crafts??? I tried to take pictures of my cards last night and they look washed out. I'm going to see what happens if I turn the flash off. I'm also wondering if scanning them might work. Suggestions appreciated!

First Post
I posted about my Cricut on my other blog, http://www.awalkinlilysgarden.blogspot.com/, a while back. I got some messages from other scrapbooking mamas. I thought it might be fun to start a blog to share our paper craft ideas.
So.....I'm going to need help with this. I am hoping that this can be a community effort. Please send me pictures of your paper craft items along with your name. I will post them on the blog to share with others.
I do most of my crafting by myself. So I'm hoping to get some great ideas from all of you!!! Please send your tips, photos of your projects, great finds, websites, etc. to me at my special e-mail account: scrapbookercathy@yahoo.com
